How to Install Sendent for Outlook (Cross-Platform)

The Sendent for Outlook web add-in is compatible with the MacOS, Web, and Windows versions of Outlook. To get started, you just have to follow the following steps. There is no separate installation file that you should download; the Sendent for Outlook (cross-platform) experience is hosted within your own network.

If you run Microsoft Exchange on-premise (2016 or 2019), please read this article first. Microsoft 365 users may ignore this article.

To get started, ensure that the necessary Docker container is running and the following prerequisites are met. For instructions we have two articles:

Prerequisites

1. Supported Platforms and Requirements

  • Windows
    • Microsoft 365 subscription, Outlook 2021, or Outlook 2019 for Windows.
    • Client: Version 1910 (build 12130.20272) or later.
    • Note: Outlook 2019 or 2021 must enable the new UI.
  • Mac
    • Microsoft 365 subscription or Outlook 2021 for Mac.
    • Client: Build 16.47 or later.
  • Web

Ensure your system meets the requirements listed below based on where you want to access Sendent from (Web, Windows, or MacOS).

2. Sendent Server App for Nextcloud

Install the Sendent Server App for Nextcloud to unlock all available settings and enable centralized settings management. Note that server app settings always override those in the Outlook add-in. For detailed instructions, refer to this guide on how to install the Sendent Server App.

3. Configure Your License

If you have a paid subscription to Sendent for Outlook, configure your license after installing the Server App. Refer to this guide on how to configure your Sendent license information.

4. Account Requirements

You must have an account on Microsoft 365, Exchange on-premise, or Outlook.com. Refer to this guide on how to setup your Microsoft365 account.
