Getting Ready to Install Sendent for MS Teams (Requirements)

To successfully install the Sendent for MS Teams add-in and deploy the Microsoft Teams Docker container, ensure you have the following components in place:

Prerequisites

Preparing for Installation

1. Install the Sendent Server App for Nextcloud. For detailed instructions, refer to the guide on Installing the Sendent App.

2. Configure Your License: If you have a paid subscription to Sendent for MS Teams, proceed to configure your license after installing the Sendent Server App. You can find more details on how to configure your Sendent license here.

3. You need to Download and extract this Zip file. Click here to download 

4. Set up a DNS record for your docker container. 

5. Have Docker installed and configured on your computer. Refer to this guide on how to set your docker container

6. You also need to set up an Azure Bot Resource. Refer to this guide on how to configure your Azure Bot Resource.

7. Have a Microsoft Teams Account. Please note that Teams is a part of Microsoft 365, so you need a Microsoft 365 Apps for Business or Enterprise license to use it. For details, see How do I get access to Microsoft Teams?

8. Setup a reverse Proxy (e.g NGINX) 

Now that you have all the requirements setup you are now ready to install the Sendent Add-in for Microsoft Teams. There are two alternative ways of installing and deploying the Add-in:

  1. Distribution on an Organization level
  2. Distribution on an Individual Level
