Migration user-impact

What's changing

The Nextcloud app, named Sendent Sync with version 2.1.0, is released together with Nextcloud Exchange Connector 2.0.0. It introduces an improved synchronization process. As part of this upgrade, each user's synchronized personal calendar in Nextcloud is deleted and then recreated.

This gives every user a clean starting point. Events carried over from earlier versions, such as duplicates or items with inconsistent data, will not interfere with the new synchronization process. After the calendar is recreated, events are synchronized again from Exchange.

What your users will see

  1. After the Sendent Sync app is updated to 2.1.0, all existing user consents are reset inside of Nextcloud.

  2. Each user is asked to go through the consent screen again.

  3. Users who synchronized with an earlier version will see a notice that their synchronized calendar will be deleted and recreated. They need to accept this to continue.
